The Christian Village Honored for Excellence

[December 02, 2021]  The Christian Village, a Christian Horizons community, was recently honored through the Christian Horizons Operations Excellence Awards for outstanding commitment to leadership, service and infection control compliance. The older adult living community, serving surrounding Lincoln, Ill., offers intuitive and faith-led senior living and health care services that help older adults thrive in mind, body and spirit.

“We’re incredibly proud of the dedication and commitment from the associates of The Christian Village,” said Jennifer Knecht, Christian Horizons Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. “From the care team, including CNAs and RNs, to housekeepers, transportation, dining teams and more, these associates are the heart of this community and we honor their compassionate commitment to our faith-serving mission.”

The Christian Village received the Focused-Infection Control Compliance Operations Excellence Award for their strong commitment to COVID-19 infection control practices and overall safety standards protecting the health and wellbeing of residents and guests. Julie King, residential services director at The Christian Village, was also awarded the Dr. Phillippe Award, for outstanding leadership and service to others.

The Christian Horizons Operations Excellence Awards honor senior living communities that go above and beyond in service, clinical excellence, financial stewardship, mission integration and protecting the health and wellbeing of older adults through focused infection control practices. The annual awards were presented during the organization’s Shining Resilience tours held this fall.

“The health and wellbeing of residents, clients, associates and families are our highest priority,” said Knecht. “These awards honor those who go above and beyond to protect the safety of older adults in the community.”

The Christian Village is located in the heart of Lincoln, Ill. The life plan campus offers a full continuum of senior living support—independent living garden homes and apartments, assisted living, memory support, long-term care, GracePoint short-term rehabilitation and home and hospice services.
