Lady Railers defeat Taylorville

[December 10, 2021] It was a clean sweep of the Taylorville Tornadoes on Thursday night by the Lincoln Lady Railers. The Varsity won 57-31 and the JV won 47-27.

The Varsity played a tight first quarter, with Lincoln holding the 9-8 advantage. Lincoln held a double-digit lead by halftime, up 23-13. The Lady Railers continued to pour it on in the third quarter and the lead grew to 43-20. Lincoln wins by a final score of 57-31.

Kloe Froebe led Lincoln with 15 points. Becca Heitzig tossed in 13 points.

Lincoln improves to 8-2 on the season and 1-1 in Apollo Conference play.

In the JV game, Tori Geriets led the way with 10 points as the Lady Railers won 47-27 over Taylorville.

Lincoln will host Charleston on Saturday afternoon. The JV game will start at 1:00 p.m. The Varsity game is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
