The Lincoln Junior High Trojan Wrestlers opened
their season on the road Thursday night at Rochester Junior
High.
The Trojans wrestled Beardstown winning 63-22.
Next, they wrestled Rochester and won 64-34.
Winning two matches for the Trojans were, Zack
Eckhardt, Cayden Geriets, Cameron Bell, Dominick Cummings, Riley
Eilertson, and Ryne Metelko.
Wrestlers going one and one were Alex Lacroix, Braiden Barrish,
Dominic Geriets, Brendan Steffens, Lakin Adams, David Bone,
Thomas Braid, Elliott Martin, Daniel Beck and Omarion Edwards.
All 16 wrestlers who competed won at least one match.
The coaching staff is proud of this very young
team with limited practices, and were impressed with the hard
work and determination. Next up for Trojan
Wrestling is a Monday night away meet at Dee-Mack vs Dee-Mack
and Evans.
