Mount Pulaski 8th Grade Girls Going to State

[December 10, 2021] The Mount Pulaski Honeybears 8th grade team is headed to the IESA Class 2A State Tournament after winning the Sectional Championship over Nokomis Junior High on Wednesday night at Assumption.

The Honeybears led 6-0 after the first quarter. Mount Pulaski was up 18-6 at the half. At the end of three quarters, the Honeybears lead was 28-9. Mount Pulaski defeated Nokomis by a final score of 32-12 to advance to the state tournament.

Alyson Murphy led Mount Pulaski with 15 points and six steals. Elayna Marten had five points and six rebounds.

Mount Pulaski (22-2) will play Teutopolis (27-0) on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Havana High School.
