Coit Captain WAsham Coit is a native of
central Illinois and currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri where
she works as a System Administrator at Boeing. She attained a
Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Webster
University before entering the Missouri Army National Guard in 2013.
In 2015, she received her commission through the state OCS program
in Forth Leonard Wood, Missouri. Her
military education includes Basic Combat Training, Officer Candidate
School, Military Police Officer Basic Course, Equal Opportunity
Leader Course, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, Unit Movement
Officer Course, and the Logistics Captain's Career Course.
CPT Washam Coils first assignment was to the 2175th
Military Police Company as a Platoon Leader in Hannibal, MO.
She was later moved to the 3175th Military Police Company in
Warrenton, MO to serve as the Executive Officer. Upon her
return from deployment in 2020, CPT Washam Coit was selected as the
175th Military Police Battalion Logistics Officer.
Captain Washam Coit's award and decorations include
the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award),
Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service
Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on
Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve
Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ M
device, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and the German
Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Silver).
Captain Washam Coit currently resides in St. Louis with her wife
Erynn and their daughter Ellie along with their dogs, chickens and
rabbit.
