[February 15, 2021]   A primary election determines the nominees for political parties in advance of a general election. The origins of primary elections can be traced to the progressive movement in the United States, which aimed to take the power of a candidate nomination from party leaders to the people.

Your vote counts.

There are 3 ways to vote;

1) On February 23rd, you can vote in person.

2) Vote early on the 2nd floor of the Courthouse

3) Vote by mail.

To vote by mail, contact the office of Theresa Moore (County Clerk) (217) 732-4148 and request a ballot be mailed to you.

This ballot will need to be completed and mailed back by no later than February 18th. It must be postmarked February 18th to count. “tmoore@logancountyil.

The General Election, to be held this April, holds the outcome for the Lincoln Mayor and 4th Ward Alderman. To ensure Rick Hoefle is listed on your ballot, you must vote in the Primary on February 23rd.
