Heartland Community College (HCC) is planning for a new round of
Truck Driver Training with class sessions to be held in Lincoln.
Truck Driver Training runs year-round at Heartland’s Normal campus.
Now, the program is again setting up shop on Heartland’s Lincoln
campus – an effort that will broaden the local reach and
accessibility of the program’s benefits.
The first Lincoln section of Truck Driver Training (TDT) begins
April 19 and runs for four weeks, meeting Monday-Friday from 8:00 am
- 4:30 pm.
In this program, participants will earn their CDL through both
classroom and behind-the-wheel training. No previous experience is
required, but you must have a current driver's license issued by the
State of Illinois, be 18 years or older, and complete and pass the
Department of Transportation Physical and Drug screening.
“HCC is excited to bring back TDT to Logan County in 2021,” said
Heartland Community College Lincoln Director Kristi Powell. “We last
ran the class in Lincoln in November of 2019, so it is great to
bring back more local opportunity for area students.”
