[January 19, 2021]  MOUNT PULASKI - Dan Volle, 94 of Mount Pulaski passed away January 9th 2021 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski. Dan was born February 18, 1926, the son of George and Iva Florence (Newburn) Volle, in Champaign.

Service:  Graveside services will be held at Mount Pulaski Cemetery on Saturday January 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

Obituary

Dan Volle, 94 of Mount Pulaski passed away January 9th 2021 at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski. Dan was born February 18, 1926, the son of George and Iva Florence (Newburn) Volle, in Champaign.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Frank and Paul.

Dan is survived by his nieces, Janet Broderick of Decatur, Jean Garner (Kevin) of Chatham, Debra Volle of Decatur, Susan Volle of Lakewood Colorado and nephew Richard Volle (LeeAnn) of Mount Pulaski.

Dan attended Mount Pulaski Grade and High schools, as well as the University of Illinois. Dan was a WWII veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Dan was a member of the United Methodist Church of Mount Pulaski.

Dan worked as a bank examiner for the State of Illinois for four years, and the Comptroller of the Currency for four years. In August of 1957 Dan was hired as Cashier at The Farmers Bank of Mount Pulaski, and retired as CEO in 2013 after 57 years of service.

Dan was a founding board member of Vonderlieth Living Center and served on the board for 41 years.

Dan was also a board Member Logan County Park and Trails Foundation for many years. Dan enjoyed being outdoors and gardening. Dan planted countless trees in his lifetime.

Graveside services will be held at Mount Pulaski Cemetery on Saturday January 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.

Memorials can be made to The Henry and Jane Vonderlieth Foundation or Mount Pulaski United Methodist Church.
