On Saturday afternoon Tyler and Allison Simmering were on hand at the Habitat for Humanity of Logan County warehouse to collect their winnings from a recent HFHLC half-hog raffle.

Allison Simmering was the official winner of the raffle drawing and said she was very excited about being drawn. She said that she never wins anything but to get this prize made up for all the other times.

Simmering said that she did have room at home to store all her pork products, but her mother had also volunteered additional freezer space if needed.

On hand to congratulate the Simmerings were board President Tonita Reifsteck, and board members Bob Chamberlain and Jamie Voyles.

The half-hog was donated to HFHLC by Tarter Brothers Heating and Cooling in Lincoln. Voyles said that it was a tremendous gift, allowing the HFHLC to raise funds for future building projects.
