Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors to stop in Atlanta on Friday

[July 14, 2021]   LINCOLN - On Friday, July 16, at approximately 10:30 a.m., 120 people from the 501(c)(3) C.O.P.S.(bicycle riders and their support group) will arrive at the Atlanta Fire Department  where they will be fed lunch by Eminence Christian Church (also from Atlanta).

ICOPS will begin their ride on July 15th from Alton riding through Central Illinois arriving in Chicago on July 18. These riders are honoring those comrades lost in the line of duty as well as fundraising to support their families. Here is an excerpt from their website explaining their mission:

The Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors is a non-profit organization, which provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line-of-duty as determined by Federal criteria. Illinois C.O.P.S. provides emotional and financial support as well as legal assistance to survivors of fallen officers.

Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors responds after line-of-duty deaths to support the surviving family members. We offer support as long as needed to all survivors. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a years, support is just a phone call away.
