On
Sunday afternoon, a Memorial Day service was hosted at
the Elkhart Cemetery by Elkhart American Legion Post
616. At the end of a wonderful program the Legion Color
guard delivered the 21-gun salute in memory of all
fallen soldiers.
On Monday, the Memorial
Day observances continued in Atlanta with Atlanta
American Legion Post 341 Color Guard offering the salute
after an excellent program offered on the lawn of the
Atlanta Library.

Central
Illinois Riot hosted a girls softball tournament at the Lincoln Park
District on Saturday and Sunday, May 29 and 30. The girls elite
travel/competitive softball teams competing were ages eight and
under, and 10 and under, with each group competing in a six team
field.
Central Illinois Riot is based out of Lincoln with girls from all
over central Illinois. Tryouts were held in Dec. 2020 for girls
eight through 18 years of age.
