Katherine “Kathy” Louise Boward, 62, formerly of Mount Pulaski, passed from this life at 1:00 p.m. on May 21, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She is now in the care of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Kathy was born on January 28, 1959 in Lincoln, the youngest child of James and Sarah (Thorp) Jackson.

Kathy is survived by her daughter: Hannah (Taylor Wibben) Boward of Mount Pulaski, two grandchildren: Kaiden and Carter; her siblings: Alan (Judi) Jackson of Kalamazoo, MI, Linda Stanfield of Las Vegas, NV, and Doug (Janet, deceased) Jackson of Philo. She had two step daughters, four step grandchildren as well as four nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathy graduated from Mount Pulaski High School in 1977 and attended Lincoln Land Community College.

She was employed at Memorial Medical Center and St. John’s hospital and really enjoyed her part time jobs taking care of the elderly.

Kathy was a very selfless person who always put others before herself. She loved her pets, flowers, and shopping adventures. Kathy loved to travel, especially out to Las Vegas to spend time with her sister. But most of all, she loved her grandchildren.
