Northern Lights hosts fundraiser for local cancer support

The Northern Lights support group of Atlanta (formerly Northern Lights Relay for Life) will be hosting a "Most items 50 cents sale on Friday, June 11th and Saturday, June 12th at the Atlanta United Methodist Church, Second & Race Streets.

Sale times will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

They will also be accepting donations into the donation pig at that time.

With no Relay for Life event this year, the team is shifting its fundraising efforts to local services. The proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois Cancer Patients Transportation Fund.
