[June 09, 2021]
Lincoln Community Theatre is thrilled to open the 2021 summer
theatre season with “The Grunch,” a new youth musical inspired by
Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, this month.
Performances of The Grunch will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June
25 and Saturday, June 26, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 27 at the
Lincoln Community High School Auditorium.
Directed by Tim Searby and Sheralyn Bolton, The Grunch features a
cast of thirty young people from grades 3rd to 8th grade in Logan
County and surrounding areas.
“They are amazing and so full of energy,” says Searby. “The cast
members already have the scripts and have been learning the music.”
Cast members report for a week-long intensive rehearsal schedule
just prior to performances.

Prior to each performance of The Grunch, audience members will be treated to a
preshow of “Whoover Academy Drama Club 50th Anniversary Celebration,” featuring
songs by several alumni, ages 17-74, of Lincoln Community Theatre performing
songs from their favorite shows.
Tickets are on sale now at the LCT website
www.lincolncommunitytheatre.org,
at the ALMH Market on June 26, and at the door on performance nights.
