Benjamin Fischer-Valuck, MD, joins Springfield Clinic Cancer Center

Radiation oncologist, Benjamin Fischer-Valuck, MD, has joined Springfield Clinic Cancer Center at HSHS St. John’s Hospital and Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Fischer-Valuck’s top areas of focus include prostate, stomach and lung cancers.

Dr. Fischer-Valuck completed his residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Growing up, he excelled in science and always felt medicine would be a good fit. It was during his third year of medical school when he realized he could make a big impact with patients by working in oncology.

"I'm humbled to be able to share what I've learned to help them have the best experience getting through a challenging time,” he says.

Dr. Fischer-Valuck moved from Georgia with his wife and three daughters and is looking forward to raising a family in the Midwest.
