[June 11, 2021]  RIVERTON - JoAnn Lyman, 80, formerly of Mount Pulaski, passed away at 7:28 p.m. on May 30, 2021 at her home.

Visitation:  4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski

Service:  10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the funeral home

Obituary

JoAnn Lyman, 80, formerly of Mount Pulaski, passed away at 7:28 p.m. on May 30, 2021 at her home.

JoAnn was born on February 2, 1941 in Tallula, daughter of Floyd and Fannie Mae (Lawless) Jones. She married J. Norman Stopher and then later married Glen Lyman. He preceded her in death in 2004.

JoAnn is survived by her daughters: Gwen Stopher of Riverton, and Kimberly Stopher of Topeka, KS; grandchildren: Stephanie Stopher of Riverton, Troy (Shelby) Stopher of Lincoln, Ryan (Carly Ayers) Stopher of Mount Pulaski, Kaine Brion , Alick (Meagan) Brion, and Zackary Brion all of Topeka, KS; great grandchildren: Kaleb Chapman, Karsen Simpson, Audrey Stopher, Lukas Brion, and Jyn Brion.

 

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons: Oscar Lee Stopher and J. Norman Stopher Jr.

She was a member of the Lake Fork Community Center and sewed blankets, pillows and hearts for the NICU at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Services for JoAnn will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, IL with Rev. Brad Curtis officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2021 also at the funeral home. Burial at Steenbergen Cemetery will follow the service. Memorials may be made in JoAnn’s name to the family of JoAnn Lyman.
