[June 17, 2021]  LINCOLN - Dennis "Denny" L. Freeman, 78, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021, at Passavant Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.

Celebration of life:  Cruise-In will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post #263 in Lincoln

Memorial Service: 1 p.m. June 19th inside the American Legion

Funeral home: Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln    

Obituary

Dennis "Denny" L. Freeman, 78, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021, at Passavant Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.

A Celebration of Life Car Cruise-In will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post #263 in Lincoln. Denny was a member of the Railsplitter Classic Car Club.

A Memorial Service will be held inside the American Legion Post at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Patsy Kelly. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

Dennis Lee Freeman was born on November 3, 1942, in Lincoln, the son of Delbert Freeman and Margaret Katherine Salman.

He is survived by one son: Martin Freeman, one daughter: Gayle Freeman, two brothers: Bobby Freeman and Lee Wells, and two grandchildren: Trevor Viner and William Freeman.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Sandy Ackerson Freeman and one brother: Harold Freeman.

Denny retired from the Eaton Corporation maintenance department.

He enjoyed collecting antique cars and was a member of the Railsplitter Classic Car Club in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
