The Fourth of July is just around the corner. While we
celebrate the independence of our great country, spend time with
family and friends and watch the fireworks, please remember a few
things.
There are many residents that for a variety of reasons cannot
tolerate fireworks and the noise they produce. Many of our
four legged friends do not tolerate this type of noise very well
either.
In the city of Mount Pulaski there is a noise ordinance (6-2-11)
that makes it unlawful to make or cause any noise or sounds of such
volume or nature as to cause annoyance to the residents of the city
or to disturb the peace by making any unnecessary noise. This
section carries a fine of not less than $150 and not more than $750.

To make this Fourth of July safe and enjoyable for everyone, I am
asking that we leave the fireworks to the professionals.
Have a great 4th and God Bless American
