Wiat Miller named March LTEC

Wiat Miller, son of Mark and Amy Miller, was named March Student of
the Month for the Fire Science program at the Lincolnland Technical
Education Center. Wiat is a junior at Lincoln Community High School.
Mr. Jay Akers, instructor, said he chose Wiat because he arrives
every day with a smile and has a pleasant and positive personality.
He exhibits an attitude of wanting to learn. He is always first in
line to learn and try something new. Wiat is very respectful of
adults as well as other students. He completes each task asked of
him and has maintained a near perfect GPA throughout the class. He
has a great work ethic and is a responsible young man. He has a
bright future ahead of him.
Wiat, participates in trap shooting and placed at American Grand for
trap shooting in 2019. He has maintained High Honors and Honor Roll
throughout high school. He is a Lieutenant for the Lincoln Rural
Explorers.
After high school Wiat plans to attend a Community College to
further his studies in Fire Science and/or Law Enforcement.

Wiat received $50 from the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln who sponsors this award and
honored him at a noon luncheon.
