[May 04, 2021]  LINCOLN - Frederick W. Lenardt, 83, of Lincoln passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur.

Visitation:  5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Celebration of Life Service for Fred and Gloria:  6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home

Obituary

Frederick W. Lenardt, 83, of Lincoln passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur.

Fred was born on May 31, 1937 in Decatur, the son of Adam and Freida Lenardt. He married Gloria J. Duel on January 10, 1965 in Lincoln. Gloria preceded him in death on April 27, 2020.

Fred is survived by his children, Jodi Beavis, Mike (Cayce) Lenardt, Toni Atchinson, and Eric (Kathy) Lenardt; his eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Fred and Gloria lived in Taylorville, until the late 80’s then moved to Lincoln.

Fred served in the United States Army. He worked as a commercial electrician, also drove his own truck for a number of years before working for ABF where he retired from. He loved fishing, the St. Louis Cardinals and target shooting.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria; and his sisters, Anita Johnson and Ruth Lenardt.

A celebration of Fred and Gloria’s lives will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 5:00-6:00pm also at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made in Fred’s name to The Humane Society of Logan County.
