- E J Miley Jr., 67, of Lincoln, passed away on
Sunday, May 2, 2021, at his home.

Obituary
E J Miley Jr., 67, of Lincoln, passed
away on Sunday, May 2, 2021, at his home.
E J was born on January 18, 1954 in Topeka, Kansas;
son of E J and Marilyn (Crowley) Miley Sr. He
married Tammy (May) Rich on October 13, 2013 in
Lincoln. She survives him.
Also surviving E J is his step son: Cade Rich; step
granddaughter: Taylor Rich and step great
grandchildren: Atley and Kaysleigh Garner. One
brother: Charles “Chuck” (Cathie) Miley; one sister;
several nieces and nephews and his furry companion:
Marty.
E J is preceded in death by his parents, one nephew:
Aaron Locher, and his furry companion: Bubba.
E J proudly served his country in the
United States Airforce during the Vietnam War. He
served in the 7th SOS Squadron out of Germany, where
he acquired his stealth skills and led to the
nickname of “Ninja Boy”.

He was the Art Professor at Lincoln
College until he retired in 2009. He was a very
talented artist and has paintings all around the
world. He was loved by so many of his students and
he was proud of them all. He was such a gentle soul
and was kind to everyone he met. People that knew
him often refer to him as having the softest voice
and the kindest heart.
Services for E J will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 11,
2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln, with Ron Otto officiating. Visitation will
be two hours prior to service (11:30 a.m.-1:30p.m.).
Burial at New Union Cemetery will follow the service
where full military rites will be accorded by the
American Legion Post # 263.
Memorials may be made in E J’s name to the Animal
Protective League of Springfield, Wounded Warrior
Project, or donor’s choice.
