[May 13, 2021]  The Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Market will launch its sixth season on Saturday, May 15.

The producer-only farmers market will be held rain or shine from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays through Sept. 25 in the Expo Building at the Logan County Fairgrounds in Lincoln.

“The market is an extension of the ALMH mission to improve the health of the people and communities we serve; our aim is to increase consumption of local produce and to provide free health screenings to the community,” Angela Stoltzenburg, director of the ALMH Community Health Collaborative, said.

The ALMH Market is the premiere indoor, producer-only market in central Illinois and has become a wellness destination like no other, Stoltzenburg said.

The producer-only designation ensures that all items offered at The Market will be homegrown, handmade or vendor-created from locally owned operations within Illinois.

Free admission, free parking, free activities for all ages and a LINK card matching program make the weekly event attractive to everyone, Stoltzenburg said.

Free health screenings will again be offered on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.
