[May 14, 2021]  LINCOLN - Roberta L. Ingram, 84, of Lincoln passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Visitation: Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Armington Christian Church.

Service: Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the church

Funeral home: Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln     

Obituary

Roberta L. Ingram, 84, of Lincoln passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Armington Christian Church with Mr. Tyler Escoubas officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Armington Christian Church.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Roberta Louise Benedict was born on December 3, 1936 in Lincoln the daughter of James and Viola Sharp Benedict. She was united in marriage to John William Ingram Sr. on April 17, 1954. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: John W. (Cathy) Ingram Jr., Theresa (John) McDannald, Kelly (Tracy) Ingram-Teutsch. Seven grandchildren: Kristina Bottorff, Dustin Pleines, John M. McDannald, Rachel Denham, John W. Ingram III, Casey Ingram, Richard Ingram. Five great grandchildren. Two brothers: Larry (Ginger) Benedict, Harvey Shaw.

Roberta graduated from Capital Area School of Practical Nursing.

She is a member of the Armington Christian Church.

She had been employed at St. Clara’s Nursing and had also worked as a private care nurse for elderly people.

Memorials may be made to the Armington Christian Church.

Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.
