Jay Thomas, son of Ricky & Jamie Thomas of Mason City, recently graduated from Illinois Central College’s GM ASEP program with a degree in Automotive Technology. During his graduation ceremony, Jay was awarded the Determined Student Award. The award recognizes the student that displays the highest level of determination while in class.

Jay plans to work full-time at Graue Inc in Lincoln as a technician using skills learned at ICC and the ASEP program.

The 900 block of Chicago Street and the 700 block of Davenport Street will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 while a Contractor works on a sewer repair.

The road will reopen when work is completed.
