William “Bill” K. Kaesebier

[May 19, 2021]  SPRINGFIELD - William “Bill” K. Kaesebier, 65, formerly of Mount Pulaski, sailed away on his final cruise with his dog and grand dog by his side at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his home in Springfield.
 

Service:  A celebration of life for Bill will be held at a later date.

Obituary

William “Bill” K. Kaesebier, 65, formerly of Mount Pulaski, sailed away on his final cruise with his dog and grand dog by his side at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his home in Springfield.

Bill was born on February 14, 1956 at the Scott Field Air Force Base, son of Kenneth and Janette (Detmers) Kaesebier. He married Beverly Ann Landers on May 28, 1977 in Mount Pulaski. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2003.

Surviving Bill is his daughter: Michelle Kaesebier of Springfield, his siblings: Betty (Dan) Phillips of Mount Pulaski, Janet Skelton of Lincoln, David (Ruth Ann) Kaesebier of Lincoln, Richard (Kathy) Kaesebier of Elkhart, Susan (Joe) Ogden of Springfield and Karen (Bob) Hartman of Mount Pulaski and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was retired from the State of Illinois Office of Inspector General. He was also part owner of Barnharts Restaurant in Mount Pulaski. He was an avid stamp and coin collector, enjoyed his Corvette, going to car shows and loved going on cruises.

Cremation rites for Bill have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. A celebration of life for Bill will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Bill’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
