Broadwell Drive in Lincoln to be closed starting Monday - Lincoln Parkway to State Street

Illinois American Water will be closing the following section of public road starting on Monday, May 24th.

What: Road Closure of Broadwell Drive between Lincoln Parkway and State Street.

Where: Broadwell Drive will be closed to through traffic to make necessary water improvements. The roadway will be fully closed at the entrance to the City’s Landscape Waste facility. Local traffic and access will be permitted on west and east of this closure.

Drivers should use caution, obey traffic signs and follow detour routes. It is recommended that drivers avoid this area if at all possible.

When: This work will begin on Monday, May 24th.

Why: Illinois American Water is committed to making prudent and necessary improvements that support high-quality, reliable service.

Restoration: Once the work is complete, restoration will begin ASAP. It is anticipated the intersection will be open by Wednesday, May 26th.
