Obituary
Lawrence "Junior" Prewitt, Jr., 65,
of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021,
at Carle BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26,
2021, at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta from
5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Cremation Rites will then
be accorded.
Lawrence Prewitt, Jr. was born on September 8, 1955,
in Leitchfield, Kentucky, the son of Lawrence
Prewitt, Sr. and Helen Cummings Prewitt Puckett.
Lawrence is survived by one sister:
Ruby Longberry of Bloomington; two brothers: Roy
(Glenna) Prewitt of Heyworth and Frank (Brenda)
Prewitt of Kentucky; nephew Jesse (Sonseeray Overbey)
Prewitt of Bloomington; great-niece Stephanie
Sanford; niece Lola Paulson; niece Jennifer
Longberry; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by three
brothers: Elmer DeWeese, James Furguson, and Tommy
Prewitt.
Lawrence had worked at Red Fox Grocery as a janitor
for many years. He loved working on his recycling
junk when he was younger.
Memorials may be made to his family.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
