At the end of October, Lincoln Postmaster Edmund Carley embarked on a new adventure in his career as he moved from Lincoln to Washington D.C. In our nation's capital, he will serve as the National President of the United Postmasters and Managers of America for the next three years. Though it is not a union, the UPMA works to represent 22,000 members in all aspects of their employment.

Carley is looking forward to the challenges of the new position but has already told his Lincoln team that at the end of his three-year stint in Washington, he does plan to come back home to Lincoln. He also says the post office is a great place to work and there are job openings.
