A tree-lighting ceremony will conclude the Lincoln Memorial
Foundation’s 34th annual Light Up a Life campaign on Tuesday, Dec.
7.
The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the front of the hospital,
followed by a grab-and-go soup supper. Pre-portioned containers of
chicken noodle soup or chili will be available for patrons to carry
out and enjoy at home.
Each year, thousands of individuals and groups are celebrated
through the Light Up a Life campaign, which invites the community to
honor those living, remember those who have passed away or show
appreciation for health care professionals. Last year, more than 500
families paid tribute to more than 2,000 individuals, raising over
$31,000 to support local health initiatives in Logan and Mason
counties.
“The holiday season is a special time when we celebrate with loved
ones as well as honor the memories of those gone before. The Light
Up a Life campaign provides a wonderful opportunity to support local
health care by paying tribute to those who have and will continue to
show us the way,” said Rylie Brackney, executive director of the
Lincoln Memorial Foundation.
