David Doolin will be sharing vintage local photos from the Walter
Tandy and Larry Shroyer collections during a 6:30 p.m. Monday
meeting of the Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society in
the Mary Pat room of the American Legion building.
Doolin, “Loves learning about the ‘Good Old Days,’ studying the
photos of the past, and sharing the great things about Lincoln and
Logan County with others.”
A Lincoln native, who has a, “Strong passion for Lincoln and Logan
County,” believes his passion, coupled with his technical expertise,
has inspired his interest in local history, tourism, and historic
photo research and preservation.
He credits much of his passion from those whom he has had the
privilege of learning from, which includes Paul Beaver, Paul
Gleason, Leigh Henson, Ron Keller, Bill Gossett, and others.

A Lincoln College graduate, Doolin attained his Bachelor of Science degree in
Mechanical Engineering at Bradley University.
After College, he started Infinity-X, a web design business, assisting local
businesses and organizations. Later he was employed with Integrity Data, where
he serves as Information Systems Manager. Doolin is a commissioner on the City
of Lincoln Historic Preservation Commission.
Following Doolin’s presentation, a drawing will be held for an afghan featuring
Abraham Lincoln christening the City of Lincoln. Refreshments will be served
after a brief business meeting. The public is invited.
