Atlanta Tourism hosts Indoor Holiday Market and Christmas Parade November 27th and 28th
Accepting parade entries through November 21st

[November 15, 2021]     The City of Atlanta is hosting its first Indoor Holiday Market and Christmas Parade the weekend after Thanksgiving. The Market Weekend will run November 27th and 28th, with the parade rounding out the weekend events.

The Indoor Holiday Market will be at 114 SW Arch Street (Union Hall and the Logan County Visitors Center) on November 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 28th. There will be 19 vendors set up with a wide array of items including but not limited to goat milk soap, hot cocoa bombs, wooden toys, pet enrichment items, engraved bottles, ornaments, jewelry, and home goods.

Visitors are encouraged to park in the Atlanta Public Library parking lot and in the lots in front of the Atlanta Post Office.

November 27th, during the market, Chubby’s Bar & Grill will offer cheeseburger meal deals with $1 from every deal donated to the Atlanta Christmas Tree Lighting Committee for new decorations and maintenance of current decorations.
 


November 28th, during the market, Santa Claus will be available for pictures from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

After the market, at 4:30pm, the Christmas Parade will begin with Atlanta’s own Billie Cheek and Santa Claus leading the way.

The lineup will be at 4 p.m. in the parking lot of Nutrien Ag Solutions and go down Arch, Vine, Church and E South Street.

Following the parade, at 5 p.m. Atlanta will hold its fifth Annual Christmas Tree Lighting with Billie Cheek doing the honors in Route 66 Park on the corner of Arch and Race Street. Afterwards, the Atlanta Betterment Fund will provide cookies and hot chocolate.

The Country-Aire Restaurant will donate a portion of all food purchases from the evening of November 28 to the Atlanta Christmas Tree Lighting Committee for new decorations and maintenance of current decorations.

Atlanta Tourism Director Whitney Ortiz will be accepting floats, cars, golf carts for the parade until November 21. The theme this year is “Christmas on Route 66.” The best float and best car will receive complimentary regional advertising and be the sponsors of the first cruise-in of 2022.
