Notice of proposed property tax increase for New Holland Fire Protection District
Public Hearing October 19th

A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for 2021 property in the New Holland Fire Protection District collectable in 2022 will be held on October 19, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at the fire district building located at 100 W. Lincoln Street, New Holland, IL  62671.  Any person desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contact the fire chief at 100 W. Lincoln Street, New Holland, IL  62671.

The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended for the 2020 were $56,826.04.  The proposed corporate and special purpose taxes to be levied for 2021 collected in 2022 are $95,549.  This represents a levy increase of 168% over the previous year.  The total tax rate for New Holland Fire Protection District in 2020 was 0.28097 and the total estimated tax rate for 2021 payable 2022 is 0.25097.
