Neal Stimpert elected group
director of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois

Neal Stimpert, EVP/CEO of the Atlanta National Bank, was elected as
group director of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois (CBAI)
at the association's annual convention held recently in Chicago, IL.
As a group director, be serves on the CBAI board of directors, as
well as its strategic planning and membership committees.
Stimpert received a bachelor's of science degree in finance from
University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
He is attending the Graduate School of Banking, Madison, WI, Class
of 2023. Stimpert is currently serving on the CBAI legislation and
regulation committee.
His banking career started with Herget Bank, NA, Pekin; and National
City Bank, Pekin, as an assistant vice president branch manager. He
then went back to Herget Bank, NA, Pekin. Stimpert as a Senior Vice
President then served at Busey Bank, Peoria, as a senior vice
president/team lead of business banking, and is currently working at
The Atlanta National Bank as executive vice president and CEO.

Stimpert's civil duties include serving as the chairperson of the Pekin
Insurance Holiday Tournament since 2018 and he served as the United Way of Pekin
Campaign Chair in 2006. He received the Pekin Rotary Club Barney Maticka Award
(volunteer service to youth) in 2005.
Stimpert resides in Groveland, IL.
