The
Paint the Today there are two pictures for the Paint the
Paper Pink campaign, but they are both of the same group
of people, the staff of Graue Chevrolet in Lincoln.
The first picture is the typical picture that is taken
for the special feature photo.
The second picture shows what happened
with the photographer asking how many of the staff knew
someone diagnosed with breast cancer or has heard that
diagnosis personally. Of the 33 people in the picture 24
hands went up. The hands-up represent 73% of the total.
These numbers remind us that breast cancer is widespread
and that many of us have experienced or witnessed the
impact of receiving a positive diagnosis. Because it is
so widespread, we are all wise to do our due diligence,
look after your own breast health, and reach out to
friends and family and make sure they too are doing
those monthly self-exams.
