Threat against Lincoln Junior High School verified HOAX

 

[October 28, 2021] 

The Lincoln Police Department is aware of a reported threat that was made online yesterday. The threat was made on a social media app that said there was going to be a school shooting today at “JHS.”

Our district 27 school resource officer, Ofc Fruge, was able to ascertain that the threat was made about a school in Georgia. An investigation was conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and was found to be a hoax.

Our department will have an increased presence around the schools today.
