[October 29, 2021] The Los Angeles Rams practiced Thursday without four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who was sidelined due to an illness.

Rams coach Sean McVay did not address the media after Thursday's practice, so no details were known about the severity of Ramsey's ailment.

Ramsey turned 27 on Sunday, the same day his fourth-quarter interception in the end zone helped clinch a 28-19 Rams win over former teammate Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions in Los Angeles. Ramsey has 41 tackles and two interceptions this season.

Including Ramsey, six Rams starters sat out Thursday's practice: offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth (knee), defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day (chest), linebacker Terrell Lewis (ribs), safety Jordan Fuller (knee) and defensive back Robert Rochell (knee).

Defensive tackle Aaron Donald, who was given a rest day Wednesday, was a full participant a day later, and offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum Jr. also returned to the field after an illness kept him out Wednesday.

On Sunday, the 6-1 Rams visit the 1-6 Houston Texans.
