On Friday, September 10th, the community is invited to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Sun Ag in rural Emden. The company will host a customer appreciation day and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

On September 10, 2020 Tri-Ag in Emden became Sun Ag. Due to the coronavirus the new owners were unable to celebrate their new acquisition in Logan County.

The ribbon-cutting and short dedication service will occur at 11 a.m., and all are invited to attend. Sun Ag is located on Illinois Route 136, just west of the railroad crossing.

Work on the Logan County Courthouse dome is progressing.

According to Bill Walter, who oversees the project, a decision will be made soon regarding the cupola on top of the dome. He told the committee the original plan had been to remove the cupola. But, finding that it is not constructed as expected, he is now looking at leaving the cupola in place. Walter will come back to the committee with a recommendation when he has completed his research on the topic.
