City of Lincoln 2021 Resurfacing Project Getting Underway this week

Beginning Thursday September 16, 2021 at 8:00 a.m., the resurfacing projects in Lincoln will begin.

Contractors will start with the Hot in Place Recycling by heating, removing, and replacing the asphalt on target streets. This work will begin Thursday and should be completed by Saturday.

Contractors will begin on Wyatt Ave between Sheridan and Ladue Streets. This section of street will temporarily close while the work is completed. Traffic should use Decatur Street as a detour route.

Once they finish with Wyatt Ave they will proceed to Elm St between Woodlawn and 10th St, from there they will go to Nicholson Road to Ottawa and Ottawa to Keokuk Street. Expect to see intermittent street closures and restricted lanes.

Although we do not have a definite schedule, the second step of Micro surfacing these streets and others should begin next week. Please avoid these streets while work is taking place, if you have to travel in the area please use extreme caution and obey all traffic control signs and flagger personnel.
