[September 15, 2021]  MOUNT PULASKI - Brian Kenneth Smith, 38, of Westen, WI, formerly of Mount Pulaski, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his home.

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday September 9, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski

Service:  11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home

Obituary

Brian Kenneth Smith, 38, of Westen, WI, formerly of Mount Pulaski, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at his home.

Brian was born on July 6, 1983 in Carbondale, to Matthew and Tina (Hill) Smith. He married Rhonda Marquardt on March 30, 2018 in Wausau, WI. She survives him.

Also surviving are is his daughters, Mia and Mylee of Wisconsin, his mother and pop Tina and Rich Shiers of Mount Pulaski, twin brother Ryan (Tory) Smith of Chester, brothers Chris (Ellen) Smith of Mount Pulaski and Ethan (Crystal) Cline of Wooster, OH, one sister Jamie Smith of Herrin, grandmother Yovonnia Kames of Mount Pulaski, father-in-law, Gary Marquardt, mother-in-law, Patricia Marquardt, sisters-in-law, JoAnn Alexander and Jenny Marquardt as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Brian was an outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish, camp, golf. He also loved his favorite sports teams, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, Green Bay Packers, The Fighting Illini, and Mount Pulaski Baseball.

Services for Brian will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 9, 2021 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski, with Pastor Joshua Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services. Burial will follow at Steenbergen Cemetery in Mount Pulaski.

Memorials may be made to either the Mount Pulaski High School Baseball Program, or to the family.
