[September 23, 2021]  LINCOLN - Dale "Jake" Detmers, Sr., 62, of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2021, at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation: Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home.

Service: 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home

Obituary

Dale "Jake" Detmers, Sr., 62, of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2021, at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Cremation Rites have been accorded.

CDC guidelines must be adhered to. Face mask and social distancing will be required.

Dale Detmers was born on May 9, 1959, in Lincoln, the son of Frederick John and Delores Duffey Detmers. He was united in marriage to Patricia Turner on March 9, 1984. She survives.

Also surviving are his sons: Dale Detmers, Jr., Matthew Haynes, and Michael Detmers; one sister: Linda Bersch; one brother: Alan (Vicki) Detmers; three grandsons: Alex, Jack, and Maddox; and two great-grandsons.

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dale attended the New Holland Middletown High School. He had been employed at the Lincoln Development Center and Williamette Industries in Lincoln. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in New Holland. Dale loved his family, Motocross races, and helping with harvesting crops in the fall.

Memorials may be made to his family to help with medical expenses.

Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
