[March 31, 2022]  WILLIAMSVILLE - James Larry Bailey, 80, of Waynesville, passed away at The Loft Rehabilitation & Nursing of Normal at 12:49 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

Visitation: Monday, April 4, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home

Service: 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home

Obituary

James Larry Bailey, 80, of Waynesville, passed away at The Loft Rehabilitation & Nursing of Normal at 12:49 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. His brother, Rev. Terry Bailey will officiate. Cremation Rites have been accorded.

James Larry Bailey was born April 5, 1941, in LeRoy, the son of Roscoe and Cora Virginia Satterfeal Bailey. He was united in marriage with Patricia Bailey on January 28, 1988, in Clinton. She preceded him in death.

Larry is survived by his children: Jim (Natalie) Bailey of Atlanta, Randy (Cindy) Bailey of Atlanta, Tammie (Eugene) Masching of Chenoa, Crystal (Chris Dunlap) Ballard of Dunlap, and Doris Purdeu of Decatur; ten grandchildren: Ryan Bailey, Jacob Egli, Ashley Egli, Blazer Bell, Winston Bell, Kendall Bell, Nicole Gray, Amanda Atchison, Kayla Paulsell, Nicholas Masching, Correna Matthews, Darrah Dunlap, Dru Dunlap, Zach Adkins, Brittany Adkins, and April Bryan; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and five siblings: Deon (Donna) Bailey, Gail Denney, AJ Bailey, Rosemary Roger, and Terry Bailey.

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patti, and six siblings: Eugene Bailey, Alberta Wheeler, Martha Embrey, Cecil Bailey, Roscoe "Bud" Bailey, and Dick Satterfeal.

Larry had worked at the DIXIE Truckers Home for 35 years in semi service and maintenance. He was of the Christian faith. Larry was a big car buff, and enjoyed NASCAR and fishing.

Memorials may be made to the Waynesville United Methodist Church.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
