[April 14, 2022]  Hi, my name is Autum and have been a 911 Telecommunicator for almost a year.

I’d like to provide the citizens of Logan County with some information on how to call 911.

Stay calm and provide the following information:

*Your exact location including nearby intersections, landmarks, building name, apartment number, and or mile marker on interstate you are at

*Your name

*The phone number from which you are calling from

*What happened

*How many people are injured/involved

*The condition of the person (s)

[to top of second column]

*Answer medical questions to find out what first aid you need to know to provide to the injured party

*Stay on the phone until the telecommunicator tells you can hang up.

Sometimes it may seem like a lot of questions, but the Telecommunicator is gathering information that is needed by Paramedics, Fire, and Police. Also, there is never too much information to a 911 call.
