A tradition of Small Business Saturday in Lincoln is
the Shop One Stop event hosted by the Ladies of the Knights of
Columbus at the Knights Hall on Limit Street.
This year, the vendors at the event were very happy as each one
talked to said that the sales this year had been remarkable, and
they were going to be going home happy with a lot less to pack up
than they unpacked at the beginning of the day.
On Saturday afternoon, Mary Williams, mother of one of the principal
organizers of the event Michelle Bauer, was greeting people at the
door and inviting them in with a warm welcome and additional
opportunities to score big at the event. She reported that the foot
traffic throughout the day had been really good, and she felt like
shoppers and vendors alike were happy with the entire event.
Around the room, there were vendors who offered items they created
in their at-home workshops, or items that they offered for sale
through home-based business franchises.
Erin Soloman of Giggles and Gab had a huge variety of premade gift
baskets for sale and said that she had sent several out the door
with happy shoppers.
Darlene Begolka sells Tupperware and was busy waiting on customers
on Saturday afternoon. The shoppers were snatching up special
holiday deals on a reputable name brand product thanks to Darlene
and the Shop one Stop event.

On the other side of the isle, Michelle Ramlow was doing an
excellent job of selling Pampered Chef products to willing
buyers.
Around the room, shoppers had opportunities to purchase hand
crafted items like knit stuffed toys and doll clothing, painted
rocks, framed photography and much more.
From the younger generation, there were two young people who
deserve recognition for the selling skills.
The young fellow was hawking his little lighted snow globes, an
inventory item in his mom’s collection of Christmas themed
merchandise.
Around the corner, the owner of “The Bossy Bakers Pup Treats”
was doing her best to entice buyers to her home-made dog treats,
that though quite young, she has been making and selling for the
past couple of years.
Another remarkable young person in the mix on Saturday was E.G.
Keith. E.G. published her first novel at age 11, but that was an
entire year ago. Havoc released in October of 2021, and Saturday
E.G. was celebrating the release of novel number two with a book
signing event. Fortunately for E.G. and to the disappointment of
some shoppers, she ran out of her newest book about half-way
through the day, but still had copies of Havoc available for
sell. For those who missed out on the second book, E.G. will
have more books in stock soon and is planning a book signing
event soon at the Lincoln Woman’s Club.
For the ladies of the Knights of Columbus, the vendors and
hopefully most of the shoppers, the annual Shop One Stop vendor
sale was a great success and something to look forward to again
next year.
