On Friday morning, the Lincoln Farm and Home Supply
offered up a remarkable gift to the local Toys for Tots drive. The
corporate offices had distributed approximately $60,000 in toys to
all of its stores with the Lincoln Store receiving three pallets to
be donated to the Logan County toy drive.
Toys for Tots coordinator said there were 138 gifts in the three
pallets, most of them large ticket items that will make Christmas
morning much more pleasant for local children whose holiday might
not have been quite so bright otherwise.
Gathering together before the toys were loaded was Gaydosh, joined
by Farm and Home store Manager Rick Wilson, Assistant Manager Bob
Rankin, Seasonal Goods Department Head Dough Fink, U.S. Marine Corps
Sergeant Rangel, and representing the Local Marine Corps League,
Toys for Tots Coordinator Raymon Gonzales.
After a few photos, including one with several members of the Farm
and Home staff, the group headed to the front of the building to
load up the pallets into the Toys for Tots van.
Gaydosh said that the gift from Farm and Home would be added to the
collection of Toys for Tots boxes throughout the community. Later on
Friday afternoon, volunteers would gather at the Lincoln Rural Fire
Protection District station where that items would be sorted out by
age and gender if applicable.

All the toys would be laid out for easy shopping for
parents on Saturday.
Gaydosh said the gift from Farm and Home was remarkable. She said
thank to the efforts of the company to support the local Toys for
Tots in each of the communities they serve, there were hundreds if
not thousands of children who would have a happy Christmas this
year.

BTW - If you still
have shopping to do, Farm and Home has plenty of toys in stock, and
they have a sale going on many of them! |
