Fifth Street Road shoulder maintenance starts today

Beginning today, Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 7:30 a.m., crews from the Lincoln Street Department will be working on the road shoulders of Fifth Street Road.

This work will take place from the Union Pacific Railroad crossing to west of Forrest Hills Road.

Crews will start on the south side of the road just west of Forrest Hills and work east to the Railroad crossing and then work back westward on the north side of the road.

There will be temporary delays while the work is taking place, please follow the direction of the flaggers and traffic control signs, and avoid the area if possible.

If you must travel this section of Fifth Street Road, please use extreme caution and be patient.
