Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor: Habitat for
Humanity Logan County is celebrating 30 years of service to Logan
County in November.
Habitat for Humanity Logan County was founded in 1992, as an
affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, to provide
affordable housing for families of Logan County.
But that doesn’t mean the organization simply gives away housing for
free. One of the group’s slogans is, “We Give a Hand Up, Not a Hand
Out!”
We build affordable housing because we believe everyone should have
a healthy, affordable place to call home. When a family helps build
or improve a place they can call home, they are building a better
community and building a better life for themselves.
