The Railers landed back in the win column on Thursday afternoon
after defeating the O’Fallon Panthers 45-22 in the 2022 Prairie
Farms Holiday Classic in Collinsville. The win hopefully starts
another winning streak for the boys, who lost in the morning session
to Belleville East.
Lincoln held an 8-5 advantage over the Panthers after the first
quarter.
Threes by Nelson and Schilling allowed Lincoln to increase the lead
in the second quarter. Bivin also added a bucket here and the
Railers were on top 19-10 at the half.
The Railers held the Panthers scoreless in the third
quarter and the lead grew to 31-10 after two 3s by Schilling and
four points from Ki’on Carson.
The Railers offense was evenly distributed in the fourth quarter
among five players. Nelson and Payton Cook score threes and with the
Railers adjusting to the shot clock without any trouble, they pick
up the 45-22 win over O’Fallon.
