Mount Pulaski defeats Illini Central 47-19

[February 10, 2022] The
Lady Toppers played a Varsity only game on Tuesday night in Mason
City and with the 47-19 victory over the Lady Cougars, Mount Pulaski
improved their record to 25-5 on the season.
The Lady Toppers held an 11-2 lead after the first quarter. Alexis Wade
led the way with five points, Hailee Daigh tossed in four points and
Riley May added a basket.
With Grace Davis pouring in five points in the second quarter and Je’Na
Rentmeister and Wade getting buckets, Mount Pulaski had a 21-11 lead at
the half.
The Lady Toppers put up an even bigger third quarter, getting balanced
scoring from all the starters and running out to a 38-15 lead over
Illini Central.
Clarissa Turner and Kenzi Chandler contributed to the offense in the
fourth quarter and with May tossing in four points, the Lady Toppers
picked up the 47-19 win.
Alexis Wade led Mount Pulaski with 13 points. Grace Davis hit
double-figures with 10 points.
