[February 24, 2022] Aaron Donald's position coach got a new contract as the Los Angeles Rams signed defensive line coach Eric Henderson to an extension, The Athletic reported Wednesday.

Henderson, whose contract was set to expire, helped the Rams to a 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl earlier this month. Donald, from his defensive tackle position, harassed Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow into an incompletion on fourth down in the final minute to seal Los Angeles' victory.

The Rams still need to add an assistant defensive line coach after Marcus Dixon departed for the Denver Broncos to be their defensive line coach.

Henderson joined the Rams in 2019 and added running-game coordinator duties this past season. He was the assistant defensive line coach for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017 and 2018. Terms of his extension were not reported.

Henderson, a native of New Orleans and a former defensive end at Georgia Tech, played two games for the Bengals in 2008.
