[January 03, 2022]  MOUNT PULASKI - Floyd Edward “Eddie” Schaffenacker, 83, of Mount Pulaski, passed away at 7:27 P.M. Sunday January 2, 2022 at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation:  9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday January 6, 2022 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski

Service:  11 a.m. Thursday at the church

Obituary

Floyd Edward “Eddie” Schaffenacker, 83, of Mount Pulaski, passed away at 7:27 P.M. Sunday January 2, 2022 at Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Eddie was born on February 12, 1938 in Lincoln, to Floyd and Helen (Dammerman) Schaffenacker. He married Karen Sue Johnson on February 26, 1967 in Mount Pulaski.

Surviving is his wife Sue Schaffenacker of Mount Pulaski, his daughter, Susan (Dean) Schueler of Edwardsville, his son Scott Schaffenacker of Mount Pulaski, and three grandsons, Will, Ben and Nick.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Lois Stahl.

Eddie was a parts manager for Stahl Implement, a Sales Manager for Bo-Jac Seed Company and retired from the Logan County Supervisor of Assessments.

Eddie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski and held multiple offices such as elder, school board member and Chairman of the Church.

He was a 1956 graduate of Mount Pulaski High School, a trustee of the Clarence Tomlinson Trust, and a former realtor. He collected toy tractors and was an avid sports fan, but above all else, he loved spending time with his family and was extremely proud of his grandsons.

Services for Eddie will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 6, 2022 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski, with Rev. Jonathan Buescher officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services. Burial will follow at Steenbergen Cemetery, Mount Pulaski.

Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran School or to the Mount Pulaski Township Historical Society.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Mount Pulaski, is entrusted with services.
